What the House preset selects

Choosing House selects eight rooms: kitchen (7 tasks), bathroom (6), toilet (3), living room (5), bedroom (4), hallway (3), laundry room (2) and garden (2), 32 task lines in total. It is the largest preset and assumes a separate toilet, a laundry room and a garden with a grill.

Many houses do not match all of that. The setup screen lets you tap rooms off before Build my plan, which is clearer than leaving tasks in the plan and ignoring them.

123 occurrences in the house month

From 26 October 2026, the 32 tasks produce 123 occurrences in 28 days. Eleven days have five tasks, from 26 October to 2 November and on 5, 9 and 12 November; the remaining 17 days have four.

Five lines repeat every three days: the kitchen sink, trash and dishwasher, the toilet and the garden plants. Together they make up a large share of the count. The washing machine appears twice in the month, once from the bathroom template and once from the laundry room.

Trim the preset to your house

• No garden: tap Garden off during setup, or remove it later in the Rooms tab. That removes the plant task every three days and the monthly grill clean.
• One washing machine: delete the line in the room where the machine is not.
• Upstairs and downstairs bedrooms: the template bank has one bedroom; add the second room's jobs as custom tasks with Add task.
• Large household: add up to six members and turn on Take turns, so the 32 lines are shared by weekly load rather than by who opens the app first.

Before you compare workloads

The number of tasks per day is balanced, not the minutes. Five tasks on a day can be a short evening or a long one, depending on which jobs they are.

Removing rooms changes the whole spread. Without the garden, the same house plans 30 tasks and 113 occurrences in the example month, and only two days reach five tasks.
