Dust surfaces: a practical task plan

Dust surfaces is weekly in Kleara's bedroom, living room and office. See how the three lines are spread over four weeks and how to avoid dusting one room twice.

Three weekly lines

Dust surfaces appears in three templates, the bedroom, the living room and the office, and all three start as weekly. Because each line belongs to its room, the plan can show the bedroom as due while the living room was done two days ago.

The task does not say which surfaces are included. It works best when you decide that per room, for example shelves and bedside tables in the bedroom, desk and screen area in the office.

How the example spreads them

In the example that schedules only the three dusting lines from 26 October 2026, the bedroom starts on 27 October, the living room on 29 October and the office on 1 November. Each then returns every seven days, so the 28 days contain 12 dusting occurrences and never two on the same day.

Spreading the three rooms over the week is the planner's choice, not a rule. If you dust the whole home in one go, you can move the lines onto the same day or keep only one line.

Things to keep in mind

A completed dust task records that someone ticked it. It is not a measure of how dusty the room was or how long the job took.

The bedroom's dusting line and its vacuuming line are separate. Doing both on the same day means ticking two tasks, and on the free plan only the first task finished each day gets its next date straight away; the other is saved as done and waits for a date.
