Hallway cleaning checklist
The hallway template has three lines: weekly vacuuming, door handles weekly and mopping every two weeks. See the example dates and how the hallway fits a full plan.
Three tasks for a pass-through space
The hallway in Kleara has vacuum every week, wipe door handles every week and mop the floor every two weeks. Mopping is less frequent here than in the kitchen or bathroom, where the floor task is weekly. The hallway is part of every home preset.
The door-handle task is meant for the handles you choose to include, typically the front door and the doors along the hallway. The toilet template has its own door-handle line, so the toilet door can be tracked separately.
Example dates
In the 28-day example from 26 October 2026, vacuuming takes 26 October, door handles 27 October and mopping 28 October. Vacuuming and handles return every week; mopping returns on 11 November. That makes ten occurrences in four weeks with never more than one task on a day.
Note that vacuuming and mopping are on different days. If you prefer to vacuum just before mopping, move the mop task in the app so the two line up, and the next mopping date will follow from the day you finish it.
Adjusting the hallway
- In the Plan tab, change the mop task to Weekly if the hallway takes a lot of outdoor dirt; vacuuming keeps its own rhythm.
- Use Move to another day on the Today tab to pair the mop with the vacuum on the same day.
- If shoes, coats or post pile up in the hallway, add a custom task with Add task rather than relying on the floor tasks to cover it.
- In a shared home, turning on Take turns spreads the three hallway jobs across members together with the rest of the plan.
What the plan does not decide
A hallway with very little floor may not need all three lines, and a long corridor with several doors may need more than the template shows. The template is a starting selection; change it to match the space.
When you look at a full apartment plan, the hallway adds three small lines on top of the kitchen and bathroom. In the apartment example, which includes the hallway, the busiest days reach four tasks.
