Clean windows: a practical task plan
Clean windows is every three months in Kleara's living room and twice a year in the bedroom. See the two example dates and how six-month dates are calculated.
The least frequent task in two rooms
Kleara includes clean windows in the living room, every three months, and in the bedroom, twice a year. No other room has a window task, so kitchen, office or kids' room windows need a custom task if you want them in the plan.
Window cleaning is kept apart from weekly dusting and vacuuming because it is done far less often and may need different preparation.
One window date per room
In the example that schedules only the two window lines from 26 October 2026, the living room is placed on 8 November and the bedroom on 22 November. Each appears once in the 28 days. The living room's next date is 8 February 2027, three calendar months later, and the bedroom's is 22 May 2027, six months later.
Twice a year means six calendar months in Kleara, not a fixed 182 days. A start on 31 August becomes 28 February in a common year, then stays on the 28th.
Plan the windows you have
- Add other windows as custom tasks with Add task in the room where they are, with Every 3 months or Twice a year as the frequency.
- If you clean all windows on the same day, move the bedroom line next to the living-room line with Move to another day; each then continues from the day you finish it.
- Change the living room to Twice a year in the Plan tab if quarterly is more than you need; the bedroom line keeps its own setting.
- Use Snooze a day when the weather is wrong, rather than ticking the job and waiting months for the next reminder.
Before you rely on the date
The window task is only a reminder; it says nothing about how a window is reached or cleaned. Leave out any window you would not clean as part of an ordinary routine.
Because the next date is counted from the day you tick the task, a window clean done a month late pushes the following one a month later too.
