Toilet cleaning checklist
A separate toilet room adds three tasks in Kleara: the toilet every three days, plus weekly floor and door-handle work. See the example dates and when to drop it.
A small room with a short cycle
The toilet template is short: clean the toilet every three days, mop the floor weekly and wipe the door handles weekly. It is meant for homes where the toilet is a room of its own. The house and shared-flat presets include it automatically; the apartment preset does not, because many flats combine toilet and bathroom.
Even with only three lines, the room is not light. The three-day rhythm means the toilet itself appears ten times in a 28-day example, more often than any bathroom task.
Toilet dates from 26 October
Starting on 26 October 2026, the toilet clean takes 26 October and repeats every three days until 22 November. The floor starts on 27 October and the door handles on 28 October, each returning weekly. In total the room produces 18 occurrences in four weeks.
Because a three-day cycle and a weekly cycle drift against each other, two tasks fall on the same day only twice in the window: on 4 November (toilet and door handles) and on 10 November (toilet and floor). Every other day has one task or none.
Set it up in the app
- During setup, keep Toilet selected only if it really is a separate room; otherwise tap it off before Build my plan.
- If you removed it and later find you need it, add it from the Rooms tab with Add room; its three tasks arrive with their default frequencies.
- Removing the room from the Rooms tab deletes its tasks, and the undo that appears restores them with their dates, frequencies and assignees.
- If two people alternate the toilet clean, Take turns in the Household tab passes the task to the next member each time it is ticked off.
Keep the scope clear
Floor and door-handle tasks with the same names exist in other rooms. Each one belongs to its own room, so finishing the hallway door handles does not tick off the toilet door.
The dates are a starting rhythm chosen by the app, not a hygiene rule. If the household needs a different interval, change it; if illness or a specific product requires particular steps, follow that guidance rather than the plan.
