Laundry room cleaning checklist
The laundry-room template has two monthly tasks: cleaning the washing machine and mopping the floor. See the example dates and how to avoid a second machine line.
Two monthly jobs
The laundry room in Kleara contains clean the washing machine and mop the floor, both monthly. It is part of the house preset and can be added to any other plan from the Rooms tab.
The washing-machine task also exists in the bathroom template, where it is set to every three months. The two lines describe the same kind of job at different defaults; which one you keep depends on where your machine actually stands.
What the example shows
In the example from 26 October 2026, the machine clean takes 26 October and the floor 27 October. Neither returns inside the 28 days. Their next dates are 26 and 27 November, because monthly tasks step by calendar month rather than by 30 days.
Two occurrences in four weeks can look as if the room is barely in the plan. It is not missing; monthly jobs simply appear once in a four-week window.
Set up one owner for one machine
- If you selected both the bathroom and the laundry room, open the Plan tab and delete the washing-machine line in the room where the machine is not.
- Keep the laundry-room line if the machine is there, and change it to Every 3 months if the monthly default is more than the manual suggests.
- If the house has two machines, keep both lines; they are independent tasks with their own dates.
- Add custom tasks for a dryer or a sink in the laundry room with Add task, giving each its own frequency.
Check before you rely on it
A month that ends on the 31st affects monthly dates: a machine clean done on 31 January comes back on 28 February in a common year and then stays on the 28th in later months.
The reminder does not choose a cleaning cycle or product. Use the machine's own instructions for that; the plan only keeps the job from being forgotten.
