Washington's Mule Recipe
A mule built on apple brandy rather than vodka: baked-apple depth, sharp lime and ginger syrup, a heavy hand of Angostura, and soda to lengthen.

Ingredients
- Calvados60 ml (2 oz)
- Fresh lime juice22 ml (0.7 oz)
- Ginger syrup15 ml (0.5 oz)
- Angostura bitters3 dash
- Soda water75 ml (2.5 oz)
How to Make It
- Shake the apple brandy, lime juice, ginger syrup and bitters with ice.
- Strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice.
- Top with soda water and stir gently.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.
