Backlash & Tonic Recipe
Equal parts Campari, fino sherry and a quinine-laced aperitif wine lengthened with tonic and scented with absinthe — bitter, briny and very low in alcohol.

Ingredients
- Campari30 ml (1 oz)
- Aperitif wine30 ml (1 oz)
- Dry sherry30 ml (1 oz)
- Absinthe4 dash
- Tonic water60 ml (2 oz)
How to Make It
- Fill a rocks glass with ice.
- Add the Campari, aperitif wine, sherry and absinthe and stir briefly.
- Top with the tonic and give one gentle stir.
- Express a grapefruit twist over the glass and drop it in.
