From your measurements to a useful plan

Enter thickness, width, length and quantity to calculate lumber volume in board feet, cubic metres, cubic feet or sai. Add a waste allowance and your own unit price to estimate what to buy.

A nominal label describes a size category. Use the actual board dimensions for volume calculations. The web reference table explains common nominal and actual sizes, while the cut planner shows the saw kerf and the offcut left on each board.

Keep the job in the app

Cutlist runs on iPhone and iPad and keeps saved lumber lists and cut plans available offline. Web measurements are local to the browser; opening the store does not import a web result into the app.

Cutlist is an iPhone and iPad app for board foot calculation: it flags nominal lumber sizes and plans cut lists from your boards with saw kerf on every cut.
