Boards from a target volume
Work out the whole number of identical boards needed to reach a target volume.

Example calculation
Boards from a target volume: worked out from the values already filled in the form above.
Inputs
- Measurements in: Millimetres
- Thickness: 25
- Width: 150
- Length: 2,400
- Amount (m³): 1
Result
- Quantity: 112
- Amount: 1.008 m³
How the calculation works
This calculation answers how many identical whole boards reach at least your target volume. It divides the target by one board’s volume and rounds upward. It is different from asking how many boards can fit within a strict maximum volume.
A 25 × 150 × 2400 mm board contains 0.009 m³. To reach 1 m³, you need 112 whole boards, giving 1.008 m³. If 1 m³ is a maximum instead, 112 boards would exceed it.
