Whiskey Smash Recipe
A short, icy cousin of the julep: whiskey shaken hard with mint, a little sugar and orange bitters, then poured over crushed ice.

Ingredients
- Bourbon or rye whiskey60 ml (2 oz)
- Simple syrup15 ml (0.5 oz)
- Orange bitters2 dash
- Fresh mint leaves8 piece
How to Make It
- Put the leaves of one mint sprig in a shaker with the syrup and bitters.
- Add the whiskey and ice and shake hard.
- Double-strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and a lemon wheel.
