Ingredients
- Gin82.5 ml (2.8 oz)
- Dry vermouth15 ml (0.5 oz)
- Absinthe6 dash
How to Make It
- Add gin, dry vermouth and absinthe to a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir until very cold.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Express a lemon twist over the surface and discard it.

A New Orleans variation on the Martini, long associated with Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop on Bourbon Street, where it is said to have been served since the 1940s.
