When to use this template
This template is for asking a school to accept your child as a transfer pupil. It is written by the parent, names the child and gives the reason for the transfer.
What the letter contains
- The letter refers to “my child”, so it is written from the parent's side.
- The name in Full name is used as the child's name inside the request, and it is printed again under the letter.
- Message gives the reason for the transfer, after “due to”.
- Recipient is the school the child would move to, referred to as “your school”.
- Date is printed under the request; no transfer date is named in the body.
- The letter does not name the school the child is leaving.
