When to use this template
This template is for telling an organisation that your address or contact details have changed. It asks the recipient to replace the address they hold for you with the one you give, and makes no other request.
What the letter contains
- There is no Message field: the new address typed into Address goes straight into the sentence after “update the address you hold for me to”.
- The form marks Address as optional, but this letter is built around it; left empty, the draft keeps a placeholder in its place.
- Recipient names the bank, office or company whose records should be updated.
- Date appears under the letter as the day the change was reported.
- Your full name, and your ID number if you add one, show whose record the new address belongs to.
