Ingredients
- Blanco tequila45 ml (1.5 oz)
- Fresh lime juice15 ml (0.5 oz)
- Cola90 ml (3 oz)
How to Make It
- Rub the rim of a highball glass with lime and dip it in citrus salt.
- Fill the glass with ice and add the tequila and lime juice.
- Top with cola.
- Stir gently — traditionally with a knife.

The Story
Created in 1961 by Don Javier Delgado Corona at his cantina La Capilla in the town of Tequila, Jalisco, where he famously stirred it with the knife he had used to cut the limes.
