Kids' room cleaning checklist

The kids' room template has a daily declutter task, weekly vacuuming and sheets every two weeks. See why it produces 34 tasks in four weeks and how to tune it.

The only daily task in the templates

Kleara's kids' room has three lines: declutter surfaces every day, vacuum every week and change bed sheets every two weeks. The daily declutter is the only daily task in the whole template bank, which makes this small room one of the heaviest in the count.

The room is not in any preset. Add it during setup or from the Rooms tab. The room can be added once, so for a second child's room use custom tasks with Add task.

Reading the 28-day example

From 26 October 2026, decluttering appears on all 28 days, vacuuming starts on 26 October and returns weekly, and the sheets are placed on 27 October and again on 10 November. That adds up to 34 occurrences, of which 28 are the daily declutter.

Days with two tasks are 26 October and 2, 9 and 16 November (declutter with vacuum), and 27 October and 10 November (declutter with sheets). The daily line dominates the count even if it takes only a few minutes; the chart counts tasks, not time.

Tune it to the household

Easy mistakes

The bedroom template also has sheets every two weeks. If the child's bed is in a shared bedroom, selecting both rooms can create two sheet changes for one bed.

A ticked declutter task means someone did a tidy-up, not that every toy is back in place. The list is a reminder, not an inspection.
