Balcony cleaning checklist

The balcony template holds only two tasks: weekly plant care and a monthly floor mop. See the five example dates and why the short scope is deliberate.

Why only two tasks

Selecting the balcony in Kleara adds water the plants every week and mop the floor every month. It deliberately leaves out railings, exterior windows, drains and anything that would mean leaning over a barrier or working at height. If such work is needed, it should be planned with its own precautions, not added to a routine list without thought.

The balcony is not part of any home preset. You choose it yourself during setup or add it later from the Rooms tab.

Five balcony dates

From 26 October 2026, plant care starts on 26 October and returns on 2, 9 and 16 November. The floor mop is placed on 27 October and does not return within the 28 days; its next date would be 27 November. That is five occurrences in four weeks.

A balcony added later from the Rooms tab is spread on its own, starting from the day you add it. It is not balanced against the tasks already in your plan, so check the Today and Plan views for a crowded day after adding it.

Adjusting for weather and use

Do not stretch the template

The balcony, living-room and garden templates all contain a plant task with the same name. They are three separate lines with different defaults: weekly on the balcony and in the living room, every three days in the garden.

A completed balcony task only records that someone ticked it. It does not confirm the plants were checked or the floor was safe to work on.
