Is there enough fabric in your stash?
Compare a known required length with the length you have. This check assumes the same usable width and compatible fabric.

Example calculation
Is there enough fabric in your stash?: worked out from the values already filled in the form above.
Inputs
- Measurements in: Millimetres
- Length: 2,000
- Available length: 3,000
Result
- Your calculation: Your available length is sufficient.
- Remaining: 1,000 mm
How the calculation works
This is a length check after you already know the required yardage. Use the same usable width, orientation and material assumptions for the required and available fabric. A longer but narrower remnant is not automatically sufficient.
If you need 2000 mm and have 3000 mm, the remaining length is 1000 mm. If the available length is shorter, the result gives the shortfall. Irregular scraps, flaws and matching a print need a separate layout check.
