Calculate with one fuel unit
Fuel used equals hourly flow multiplied by elapsed minutes divided by 60. Choose one fuel unit for the flow and retain that unit for the result. A flow in litres per hour produces litres, while a flow in US gallons per hour produces US gallons.
A flow is an assumption or observation that you supply. Check whether it represents the relevant phase of flight and conditions. A correct arithmetic total does not validate usable fuel, aircraft performance or the measurement itself.
Enter and verify the reserve separately
Reserve requirements depend on the applicable operation and rules. This page does not select a legal minimum. Check the aircraft documents, current conditions and applicable requirements before using a result operationally.
