Calculate with one fuel unit
Average hourly fuel flow equals fuel used divided by elapsed minutes, multiplied by 60. Use measured fuel and time for the same interval. The result is an interval average and does not predict flow at another power setting or condition.
A flow is an assumption or observation that you supply. Check whether it represents the relevant phase of flight and conditions. A correct arithmetic total does not validate usable fuel, aircraft performance or the measurement itself.
Enter and verify the reserve separately
Reserve requirements depend on the applicable operation and rules. This page does not select a legal minimum. Check the aircraft documents, current conditions and applicable requirements before using a result operationally.
