Tamsulosin — Blocks alpha-1 adrenoceptors with selectivity for receptors in the human prostate. Relaxation of prostate and bladder-neck smooth muscle improves urine flow and BPH symptoms.
Finasteride — Competitive, specific inhibitor of type II 5-alpha reductase, blocking conversion of testosterone to DHT.
Oxybutynin — Relaxes bladder smooth muscle by a direct antispasmodic effect and by inhibiting the muscarinic action of acetylcholine.
Sildenafil — During sexual stimulation, PDE5 inhibition enhances nitric oxide effects by reducing cGMP breakdown in the corpus cavernosum, supporting smooth-muscle relaxation and blood inflow. Recommended doses have no effect in the absence of sexual stimulation.
Tadalafil — Inhibits PDE5, raising cGMP in corpus cavernosum smooth muscle; needs sexual stimulation to release nitric oxide.
Doxazosin — Selectively blocks postjunctional alpha-1 receptors, lowering urethral resistance and systemic vascular resistance.
Mirabegron — Activates beta-3 receptors, relaxing the detrusor during bladder filling and increasing bladder capacity.
Phenazopyridine — Excreted in urine, where it exerts a topical analgesic effect on urinary tract mucosa; exact mechanism unknown.
Terazosin — Alpha-1 adrenoceptor antagonist; relaxes smooth muscle, easing the dynamic component of BPH outlet obstruction.
Dutasteride — Competitively inhibits type 1 and type 2 5-alpha reductase, blocking conversion of testosterone to DHT.
Solifenacin — Competitive muscarinic receptor antagonist; muscarinic receptors mediate cholinergic bladder smooth muscle contraction.

An item counts as shared only when both cards use the same wording. If a card does not list an item, that is not a statement that the effect never occurs.
