Plant check reminders across month boundaries

Follow an explicit day interval through February and the end of a year without treating it as a calendar-month rule or a watering instruction.

A day interval keeps its number of days

The observation planner repeats an explicitly chosen number of civil days. Fourteen days means fourteen days even when the dates cross February. Thirty-one days does not mean the same day number in each following month. Choose a check interval deliberately and read the resulting dates before using the reminders.

Compare dates instead of month labels

The first example starts on 15 February 2024 and includes 29 February because the next check is fourteen days later. The second starts on 20 December 2026; repeated 31-day gaps reach 20 January, 20 February and 23 March 2027. The March day number changes because February does not contain 31 days. The fixed interval did not change.

Review what was actually scheduled

The first returned date is the supplied start date. A list of five occurrences has four gaps, not five. Check the first and last included dates and each gap when making a handover. If you need a different interval, create and review that deliberate change rather than editing the displayed month number while assuming the underlying rhythm is unchanged.

A check is an opportunity to observe

These dates are not automatic watering instructions. They do not prove that a check was completed, and they do not inspect soil, diagnose a condition or establish a species-specific care interval. The tool keeps the check schedule and the supplied observation notes separately. Verdia can help organize those records while the actual care decision stays with the reader and appropriate source advice.
