Focus-stack plan

A thin-lens plan using distances from the sensor plane. Real lens behaviour, focus breathing and computational photography are outside this model.

Inspect every frame’s covered interval

State the near and far targets, sensor, actual focal length and aperture. The native planner proposes successive focus distances and reports the coverage interval for each frame. The important result is whether those intervals cover the complete requested range.

The planner stops at 40 frames. Reaching that cap is not equivalent to completing the stack: the output retains an explicit coverage state and any uncovered target interval, including an unbounded far target where applicable.

Plan the capture and review the sequence

Real focus movement, lens breathing, motion and the stacking software can affect the combined image. Compare the proposed intervals with your actual capture and inspect the merged result. This worksheet does not align or merge photographs.
