Write a symptom record, not a verdict
Note which leaves changed, whether the change is uniform or patterned and whether the plant is still producing normal growth. Take a clear photograph and add the date. Record the pot's condition, the recent watering history and any move to a new position.
| Observation | Question for the record |
|---|---|
| Leaf age | Older leaves, newer leaves or both? |
| Pattern | Uniform color, patches or areas between veins? |
| Timing | Sudden change or gradual change? |
| Conditions | What changed in the environment or routine? |
Check context before applying a remedy
A photo alone cannot establish whether roots are too wet, the light changed or a pest is present. Examine the actual plant and consult guidance for its confirmed identity. Keep any action in a separate dated note, so that a later comparison does not confuse the original symptom with your response.
Verdia offers a plant-health photo feature and care information alongside identification. Treat its result as information to assess against your observations, especially when identification is uncertain or several explanations fit. This article does not diagnose a disease or recommend a chemical treatment; the manual checklist helps you prepare a more precise question.
