How can two conflicting care sources be compared without combining their instructions?

Compare the identity, setting and date behind two care sources before combining their advice.

Check whether the sources describe the same case

Two care notes may concern different species, potting media, light conditions or growing environments. Keep each source’s stated context with its advice. A common plant name alone is not enough to establish that both sources describe the same plant and situation.

Record the source title, URL or publication details, access date and any revision date provided. Do not average two application amounts or combine parts of different treatment instructions to create a new recommendation. When the contexts cannot be reconciled, preserve the disagreement and seek an appropriate assessment.
