Separate the scene from your reading
Describe what you remember in ordinary language. Then start a separate paragraph for associations: what the place reminds you of, which feeling remained after waking, and anything from the previous day that you think might be relevant. Keeping those paragraphs apart makes later review more honest.
- Record the date and a short title you will recognize.
- Write the scene in the order you remember it.
- Mark missing details as uncertain instead of filling them in.
- Add the feeling on waking and one question for later.
Leave room for a small entry
An entry such as 'station, wrong platform, hurried; no ending remembered' is a valid record. A blank morning can also be recorded as no recall. Neither entry measures how well you slept. NINDS explains that dreams can occur across sleep stages and that their purpose remains uncertain.
Vante adds a journal and symbol dictionary for continued reflection. Its personal interpretations are a separate feature with their own processing described in the app's privacy policy; the local writing tool here makes no prediction or psychological assessment.
