Check an exact decimal total
Add dot-decimal values exactly and compare the sum with an expected total.
Compare an exact decimal total
Enter decimal values using a decimal point and place each value on its own line. The checker performs decimal arithmetic from the text representation, so a simple sum such as 0.10 + 0.20 can be compared with 0.30 without a binary floating-point display artifact.
The result reports the calculated total, the expected total and their difference. It checks the numbers that you supplied; it cannot verify a source document, a missing row, a currency conversion or a rounding policy.
Normalize ambiguous notation first
A formatted amount such as 1.234,50 needs an explicitly chosen decimal and grouping convention. Use the table normalizer for that transformation rather than removing punctuation by guesswork.
