Review text that contains purchase and shopping cues
With “Add to cart” added, the sample receipt scores Shopping 3 and Receipts 7; read both scores before you trust the Receipts suggestion.
Scores accumulate per shelf
The classifier does not stop at the first keyword it finds. It goes through every shelf’s list, adds points for each match, applies the bonuses for prices, times and code lines, and then picks the shelf with the highest total. In the sample, add to cart gives Shopping 2. Receipt, subtotal, total and paid give Receipts 6. The two prices add 1 to each. The result is Receipts 7 and Shopping 3.
Both scores reach the confidence threshold of 3. The higher one wins, which is why the suggested shelf is Receipts, but the Shopping evidence is not zero and it is worth noticing.
Every matched keyword counts once, however often it appears on the screen.

Read all the evidence
- Paste the text and look at the full score list, not only the winner.
- Note which shelves passed 3; here both Receipts and Shopping did.
- Open the screenshot: an order page with a cart button and a paid total may be either a confirmation or a checkout preview.
- Choose the shelf that matches how you will look for it later.
- Keep a purchase record separate from a product you were still considering.
- Receipts
- score 7

- Receipts
Remove the Paid line and Receipts falls to 6 while Shopping stays at 3. The suggestion is still Receipts, but the gap has narrowed, and a checkout screen without a payment confirmation can look very similar.

Mistakes with mixed screens
- Assuming the winning shelf means the other evidence was wrong.
- Trusting a checkout screen as a receipt because it contains the word paid.
- Moving every mixed screen to Shopping and losing track of real purchases.
- Forgetting that a tie goes to the shelf the rules scored first, not to the more meaningful one.
The rules do not know what happened
A score counts words and prices. It cannot tell whether you were browsing, reviewing an order or looking at a real receipt. The classifier tool linked below shows each shelf’s score so you can make that call yourself.
