Review browsing and transaction evidence separately
Two prices give the same +1 to both Shopping and Receipts in Shotnest; decide whether the screen is a product you might buy or proof that you paid.
Shared evidence between two shelves
The classifier counts prices with a pattern that recognises currency symbols and codes such as $, €, £, ₺, TL, USD or kr next to a number. When it finds two or more, it adds 1 point to Shopping and 1 to Receipts; with four or more, Receipts gets 2. So prices alone never separate a product page from a receipt. Keywords do: add to cart, in stock or size guide push towards Shopping; receipt, subtotal and paid push towards Receipts.
Before accepting either shelf, decide what the screenshot is for. A candidate needs the variant, size and seller. A receipt needs the merchant, date, items and total.
Sort one screen by its role
- Look at the screenshot and ask whether money has already changed hands.
- For a candidate, keep the product name, variant and the store it came from.
- For a receipt, keep the merchant, date, line items and total in view.
- Move the screenshot with Move to shelf if the suggestion picked the other role.
- Check the store or issuer for current prices or the status of an order.
A worked contrast
“Add to cart today” on its own scores 2 for Shopping, below the threshold of 3, so in the app it would be passed to the on-device model when available. The receipt sample with subtotal, total and two prices scores 7 for Receipts and 1 for Shopping. Neither number proves anything about payment.

Mixing the two roles
- Filing an order confirmation as a shopping idea and losing it when you need a return.
- Comparing a captured price with today’s price as if it were still on offer.
- Treating a currency symbol as evidence of a payment.
Text evidence only
A currency symbol is a character in the text. It does not show that an offer is current or that anything was paid. Use the search tool linked below to find related screenshots, then check the actual store or issuer.
The price pattern accepts many currency formats, so a product listing in yen or kroner gets the same bonus as one in dollars or euros.
