Check the parts of a multipage reference

A recipe or long answer split over several screenshots stays usable when you check every join, group the parts in a folder and share them as one PDF.

What Shotnest can keep together

Each screenshot is read and filed on its own, so the three parts of one recipe arrive as three separate items, possibly on different shelves if one part has no ingredient list. A folder gives them a shared home: open each part, tap Folder and choose the same folder. From a folder or shelf you can select several screenshots and use Share as PDF to send them as one file, up to 300 at a time.

Search works inside each screenshot. Within one image the app also joins a word split across a line break, such as confir- at the end of one line and mation on the next. It does not join text across two separate screenshots, so a sentence cut between parts has to be checked by eye.

Assemble a complete set

  1. Scroll so that the last line of each screenshot appears again at the top of the next one.
  2. Put every part in one folder, named after the recipe, article or conversation.
  3. Check the first and last part: title at the start, final step or sign-off at the end.
  4. Select the parts and use Share as PDF, then page through the PDF to confirm the order.

Gaps that are easy to miss

An overview is not a merged document

Neither a folder, a PDF nor a contact sheet rebuilds text that was never captured. Keep the original screenshots in Photos, because deleting them removes them from Shotnest too.
