Keep an AI answer with the question that explains it
The sample “Ask anything / Reply to Claude” text scores 6 for the AI answers shelf; see which phrases earn points and why the question should stay in the crop.
How an AI chat screenshot is recognised
Shotnest's rule classifier looks for interface phrases that chat assistants print on screen: Ask anything, Reply to Claude, Message ChatGPT, Claude can make mistakes, Regenerate and product names such as Gemini, Copilot or Perplexity, with equivalents in the languages the app ships in. Each phrase that appears adds points to the AI answers shelf: two points for a Latin phrase longer than five letters, one for a shorter one.
In the sample text, Ask anything, Claude and Reply to Claude each add two points, for a score of 6. Anything at 3 or more counts as a confident rule result, so the app files the screenshot without asking Apple's on-device model. The line A triangle has three sides contributes nothing; the shelf comes from the app's interface text, not from the answer.

Save the answer together with its prompt
- Capture the screen while your question is still visible above the reply.
- If the answer runs past one screen, take the next screenshot so the last line of the first one repeats at the top.
- In Shotnest, search for a distinctive word from your question to confirm both parts were read.
- Use Move to shelf if the rules picked another shelf; a shelf you choose stays when the library is read again.
What the score does and does not show
- Ask anything + Reply to Claude + sample answer

- Reply to Claude on its own

- A cropped reply with no interface text may land in Everything else or Notes & articles even though it came from a chatbot.
- A high score says the screen looks like a chat app. It says nothing about whether the answer is right; check facts against their sources.
- Summarize in the app uses Apple Intelligence on the iPhone and needs a supported device and iOS 26 or later.
- Reading the whole library again from Settings refreshes the text of every screenshot, but folders and the shelves you picked yourself stay as they were.
Read it as layout evidence
The classifier on this page runs the same marker list in the browser tab. It does not contact any assistant, check who typed the question or test the reply, so treat the shelf as a filing hint and the original screenshot as the record.
