Remove outdoor tasks from an indoor home plan
Starting from the House preset adds a garden with plant care every three days and a grill clean. Removing it takes 10 dates out of the four-week example.
The garden comes with the House preset
Kleara's House preset selects eight rooms, including a garden with two tasks: water the plants every three days and clean the grill monthly. A small house or a terraced home without a garden gets those tasks anyway if you start from House and do not change the selection.
Leaving irrelevant tasks in the plan and ignoring them every week makes the Today tab noisy and the counts misleading. Removing the room is clearer.
With and without the garden
In the example from 26 October 2026, the full House preset has 32 tasks and 123 occurrences in 28 days. Eleven days carry five tasks.
Without the garden, the same house has 30 tasks and 113 occurrences: the ten garden dates disappear, nine for the plants and one for the grill. The planner also spreads the rest differently, and only two days, 2 and 11 November, still reach five tasks.
Remove it cleanly
- During setup, tap Garden off on the Which rooms do you have? screen before Build my plan.
- If the plan already exists, open the Rooms tab and remove Garden; its two tasks are removed with it, and an undo is offered right away.
- If you have a grill but no garden, add a custom task for it in another room, such as the balcony, with Add task.
- If your washing machine is in the bathroom, remove the laundry room as well; the House preset plans the machine in both rooms.
After removing it
Removing the garden in the app does not rebalance the other tasks; their dates stay as they are. The balanced spread on this page comes from building the plan without the garden from the start.
If you later move to a home with a garden, add the room back in the Rooms tab. It is scheduled from the day you add it, with its default frequencies.
