Use plant tasks as prompts to observe
Kleara's plant tasks are reminders to look at the plants, with fixed defaults per room. Use them to observe, then adjust each line instead of watering on a schedule.
A prompt to check, not an instruction
The living room, balcony and garden templates each contain water the plants. The defaults, weekly indoors and on the balcony, every three days in the garden, were chosen for the template bank, not for any plant. None of the lines knows the species, the pot, the light or the weather.
The useful way to read the task is: on this day, look at the plants. Whether they need water is something you decide when you see them.
The example and what it hides
In the example that schedules only the three plant lines from 26 October 2026, the balcony and the garden start on 26 October and the living room on 31 October. Over 28 days that is 18 reminders, ten of them in the garden.
The count says how often you are prompted, not how often plants should be watered. A garden after a rainy week and a sunny balcony in summer may need opposite things on the same date.
Turn observation into a better line
- When a reminder comes up and the soil is still wet, use Snooze a day or Move to another day instead of ticking it off; that keeps the record honest.
- If you notice a pattern over a few weeks, change the line's frequency in the Plan tab, for example the living room to Every 2 weeks in winter.
- If some plants need checking much more often than others, add a custom task for them with Add task, named after the plants or the place.
- Delete the line for a space without plants, so the reminder means something when it appears.
What the app will not do
Kleara does not adjust plant tasks to weather or season, and it does not give care advice. Use plant-specific information for that.
Holiday mode pauses all reminders, including plants. The plan shifts its dates by the length of the trip, but nothing is watered in the meantime; arrange that separately before you leave.
