Avoid representing one combined room twice
Selecting both Bathroom and Toilet adds three more tasks and 18 more dates in four weeks. Compare the two setups and choose one for a combined room.
Two templates for what may be one room
Kleara has a bathroom template with six tasks and a separate toilet template with three: clean the toilet every three days, mop the floor and wipe door handles weekly. In many flats the toilet is inside the bathroom. If you select both rooms for such a flat, the plan treats them as two spaces with two floors and two sets of tasks.
The planner does not know your floor plan. It cannot see that the two rooms are one, and it will not merge their floor tasks.
The two setups side by side
With the bathroom alone, the example starting 26 October 2026 has six tasks and 21 occurrences in 28 days, one per day at most.
With both rooms selected, the plan has nine tasks and 39 occurrences. The toilet clean appears ten times, and two floor tasks now run in parallel: the bathroom floor from 26 October and the toilet floor from 29 October, each weekly. Eleven days carry two tasks instead of one.
Choose a representation
- Combined room: keep only Bathroom during setup and add the toilet clean as a custom task in the bathroom with Add task, set to the frequency you want.
- Separate toilet room: keep both templates; the extra floor and door-handle lines then describe real, separate work.
- Already set up with both: remove Toilet in the Rooms tab, or delete only its floor line in the Plan tab and keep the toilet clean.
- If you remove a room by mistake, the undo that appears restores it with all its tasks and dates.
Check the result
After the change, look at the Plan tab: there should be one floor task for one floor and a toilet task that matches how often you actually clean it.
Without the toilet template, the apartment preset has no toilet task at all. If you start from Apartment and have a combined bathroom, you need to add that job yourself, otherwise it never appears in the plan.
