Review a cleaning-plan CSV before editing it

The planner's CSV has one row per dated occurrence: 46 rows for a kitchen and bedroom. Learn what the four columns hold and what the file cannot tell you.

What is in the file

The web planner's Download (CSV) button saves a file named kleara-plan.csv. Its header has four columns, Date, Rooms, Task name and Frequency, in the language of the page. Every row is one dated occurrence, not one task: a task that repeats every three days produces ten rows in four weeks.

Dates are written as year, month and day, for example 2026-10-26, so they sort correctly in any spreadsheet. Cells that start with characters a spreadsheet could treat as a formula are prefixed with an apostrophe, which keeps the file safe to open.

The example file

For the kitchen and bedroom example starting 26 October 2026, the planner lists 11 distinct tasks and the CSV contains 46 rows. The kitchen sink alone accounts for ten of them, the trash and the dishwasher for nine each, and the oven, the fridge, the kettle and the bedroom windows for one each. The first row is dated 26 October and the last 22 November.

So a row count is not a task count. If you want to know how many different jobs the plan has, count the distinct combinations of room and task name, or read the Distinct tasks figure on the page.

What the CSV is not

The file is a snapshot of one calculation. It has no completion column, no history of what was done and no assignment to people.

Kleara, the app, does not read this file back. The app builds its own plan when you choose rooms, and it keeps dates up to date as you tick tasks off. Use the CSV for your own notes or for sharing a draft, and use the app for the running plan.
